Mr. Herndon attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute where he received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1951. He completed his legal studies at Washington & Lee University, earning his LL.B. in 1956. He was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar and the Virginia State Bar in 1956.
